Revocation is basically what you do when you get to level 99 in a vocation. Say you are a Ranger and you finally get to level 99. You have a really high leveled Legacy Boss, and even at level 99, he's pretty hard. If you revocate, you'll be level 1 and you won't have retained your stats or spells, although your stats will be a BIT stronger. A big change is also that you are now level 1+1.
Now, revocation may seem like it's a waste of time since you're weak again. But there are positives! That +1 makes you a lot stronger when you're level 99, so it really counts. Say you're a Mage with 650 Magical Might at level 99. You revocate and you get to level 99+1. Your Magical Might is now around 700! Big improvement. Also, revocation allows you to earn more skill points if you wasted them all on a weapon at the beginning of the game. And you even get a cool medal depending on your vocation! And they aren't just for looks...
You definitely get a worthwhile reward for revocating. Here are the revocation medals:
Warrior: Soldier's Medal- Attack+20 Preist: Lifesaving Medal- Magical Mending+50 Mage: Mager Achievement- Magical Might+50 Martial Artist: Mercury Prize- Agility+120 Thief: Honour Among Thieves- Enhances chances of stealing an item with Half-Inch Minstrel: Wear-With-All Award- Lets you wear the opposite sex's clothes (Some are restricted for females, like ones that show cleavage) Gladiator: Critical Acclaim- Ups chance for Critical hits Paladin: Order of Chivalry- Defence+20 Armamentalist: Combat Action Medal- Enhances chance of getting a Coup De Grace Ranger: Medal Of Freedom- Deftness+100 Sage: Legion Of Merit- Magic Points+60 Luminary: Noscar- Greatly increases Charm
So, as you can see, most of these have great benefits! It's your choice now wether to keep your level 99 guy or get these upgrades!
