Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie is the third Dragon Quest remake scheduled to be released on the Nintendo DS. Realms of Reverie will feature everything that the original Super Famicom game had, in addition to sporting the same graphics that the Sony PlayStation remake did. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie will be the first time that the game has been released outside of Japan.
The game begins with the Hero, Milayou, and Hassan on their way to destroy a demon -- Mudo -- that has been terrorizing the surrounding towns for some time. As the trio approaches Mudo's castle, Milayou summons a dragon and the three heroes prepare to battle the demon king. Upon storming the castle, the the children are greeted by none other than Mudo himself, and are quickly defeated in battle. The Hero wakes up in his home town of Lifecod, unable to remember anything about the confrontation with Mudo, and finds himself face to face with a young girl who claims to be his sister. Without any recollection of his past, the Hero decides to set out for Reidock Castle, where information about the demon king Mudo can be found.
The world of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie is divided into three parts: the Real World; the Dream World; and the Dark World. In order to solve all of the game's puzzles and quests the Hero will need to travel between the three parallel worlds, either by ascending through stairs found scattered across the world map, or by falling through mysterious holes.
There are total of nine characters that will join the Hero on his quest, one of which - Rookie - is a hidden character.
